*The walking track to Cathedral Cove is currently closed, but we highly recommend to take the water taxi from Hahei Beach to Cathedral Cove. This is currently the only boat tour landing on Cathedral Cove Beach. The return trip is $80 per adult ($60 children aged 3-17) and allows for one hour time on the famous beach, and must be paid directly to the boat operator. Should the boat not operate on the day of your tour (usually due to dangerous sea conditions), we will recommend other beautiful walks in Hahei to you, such as to the end of the beach and up the hill of Te Pare Historic Reserve to an old Maori Pa Site, offering fantastic views over the rocky coast and the Pacific Ocean.
